Tuesday

MASTER OF THE 13TH CARD
I will find my way home by the light of the Moon
Love me until the end of time. My thoughts are fragile.
Hold them with your soul, don’t ever let them go.
Store the cemetery names in a jar, scratch the left side of my car.
Walk around; footsteps graze the backs of ants.
The cracks between sidewalks and earthworms
The Citrine Sun will Heal my Dreams and take my memories

Smaller than.

Her hair dances like the branches of my willow tree
Soft and delicate like winter’s snow, I hear her breathe
To me nothing seems more beautiful than a smile on a woman’s soul

Tuesday

BIG GUY
Trash can dreams and loud cars that scream by
Or the loud noise, like the breaking of some glass
Cigarette smoke, an old man chokes
I would love to love you, but here the vines are
Shaking, they are over taking, and the stars are out
The absence of light and life are the things that
Have been unseen and left for us to do

Broken Finger.

The taste of July
Under the cherry red sky
Where ladies want to die
Where the men want to cry
The place people can dine
And drink a lot of red wine

Saturday

 Soft drumming

Long ago I was alone, voices whispered, and thoughts wondered
Fading into the new moon, dreams held the stars in place
Don’t forget our Saturday nights and the river water
Time doesn’t mean a goddamn thing anymore
Before this I was a housefly.

937

Singing with the butterflies and dancing with the bees
Grateful for this life, I lick a knife and I swim to the moon
Delicate as feather and strong as a horse, I was just reborn

One Green Eye.
I wish I had a green eye
I wonder what the world looks like through one green eye
Is the sky a different color? Do you see the grass? Or does
It blend in? Maybe I can borrow a green eye. I can ask
Taylor or Ryan. Green is my favorite color and their eyes
Make my heart melt into a river. The glisten. Find me today
In the clouds with one green eye.

Friday

long fingernails

Itching my brain with my thumb nail
Eating my cereal with a fork, waiting
On my brother he’s supposed to be here
Before dark. I’m knee deep in yesterday’s
Problems, with a bee on my shoulder and
A beer in my hand.

And I know the end is near.

Close to me, your heart beats. To be in love,
to fully give yourself to the one who holds your
Secrets and to the one who has seen your soul naked.
Hold my love close before the wind comes by and sweeps
Us away. Hold my hand until the earth beneath us touches
And the skies turn a beautiful kind of grey. Birds sing
And birds hum, they hold the sound for us.

Friday

A black flower dress

Bring me to the goat farm before I die
Wipe my tears with sunflowers before I die
Eat my brains with berries before I die
File my nails with a hammer before I die
Bring me to the cemetery before I die
Paint my bones yellow before I die
Place me in a bird’s nest before I die
Feed me a cucumber before I die
Hold my soul like a beer before I die
Let me pet a crow before I die
Make the sea turtles sing to me before I die
Drape dead roses over my eyes before I die
Bring me to a jazz show before I die
Stick a diamond in my eye
Before
I
Die

 FRIDAY FRIES

My skin is crawling, like worms are scratching to get out
The light of the yellow moon glistens in my window
Today we shall rejoice with love and hold each other
Before the mail goes out clean the windows with
The cat before it’s dark. Bring me home before the
Night turns young and the beer starts to smell like
Winter. The fly of the night shall take my secrets from
My life and carry them out to sea. For all the humans to
See. Wash your hands, tie a rubber band and bite
My apple. At least I know I won’t get out alive.

watches

They are hiding our secrets in the skies
No one here can take me out of this place
No one here has a disguise
I am not scared and I am not mad
I will stand my ground here
I will stand my ground

Wednesday

Torr with a glass eye.

If I had a glass eye I could
watch the ravens glide across the midnight sky.

If I had a glass eye I could
read all the true crime books published on the countryside.

If I had a glass eye I could
watch the stars burn deeper than veins, in the black sea of sky.

Centuries without peonies.
The way you move,
The breeze between your teeth and cheeks
Your tongue, where words dance and fly
Shuffle your shoes, get in the groove.
Just let it all hang loose. There is love in
This room. For you, I will hold the moon’s
Light and love you at night. I will dance across
The sea, until my feet turn sore. For you, I
Will leave my hair long, so you can love be
Before dawn. The way you move, is why
I love you.

Tuesday

New Moon.

Step into nature.
Slow down.
Slow your brain down.
Slow as a caterpillar crawl.
Slow your mind down.
Slow down.
Shake your worries to
The breeze.  Breathe in
Rhythm with the ocean’s
Waves.
Slow
Down.

Poem.

Little thoughts that make me hungry
When time seems to empty, the sea gets angry
Ashore, my mind sits with the turtle eggs and sand
Deep down, beneath the tide, a world to explore
A place to be, with the seahorses and shells
Dance under the moonlight where the sea meets
The horizon and the bees come out to play
There is a special warm breeze and a feeling
Of happiness. Before the sea eats the land, before
The people suffocate the Earth and the clouds
Eat the stars. Dive into the sea and fine love.

a banana peel.

This dude I know smells like worms,
And has a loose front tooth.
He rides the bus to work every day.
His favorite snack is ice cream and he
Has a great first name.
Leonard.

Sunday

believe in love

The bonfire that burns, I fell in love with the fire long ago
Long before you and I, long before the river danced and the trees sang.
Stand still, your roots make a home in the Earth while the birds play
With your hair. I’d love to love you while the stars burn and the
Music plays. Promise to love me even on days when I break.
