i like to be alone, but i'll never die
don’t worry about me hiking alone. I left you a
note. I told you I’d be back. Don’t worry about me when I hike alone. The only
thing you need to know is that I’m very happy. And if for some reason I don’t
come back and I die here, don’t cry when you’re alone. Please don’t, if and when
I die in these woods, hopefully the good critters around here share my body for
dinner. Don’t think this is weird. This is good. If creatures of my type eat
the goodness left while my human body lies there, good can potentially live on
longer, and that’s what we want, correct? So if I don’t come back one time from
my hike, please just know I was smiling, I was free. Please know the next time you spot a fly,
only the blue shiny gold ones, that’s part of me. Please remember the next time
you see a tall, brown sunflower reaching for the sky, that’s me. So just
remember, I will never die.
