Monday

His head’s not unlike a lump
red hair on top of a dump
His ideas are thin
and so is his skin
He’s an egomaniacal chump

Of Mexicans and Muslims he’s tired
Drugs, rapists and labor suppliers
He’s got news for you all
A beautiful wall
You’ll build it, then beaners, you’re fired

He spits hatred and fear from his stump
We need more than a spray tanning pump
Dog faced old fogy
Burns bridges like stogies
If he wins it’ll be
More than mere novelty
A nuclear, world ending
trump
-David Matthews

It feels like a long time since I was free
It feels like the right time to take that seriously
It feels like the trees are a peculiar green
It feels like the air is hung heavily

Friday

purple haze of a sky

A nose
An eye
A little thigh
Stare at the ceiling
Find little humans.
Blue
Red
Yellow.
Smooth Jazz Dance
On the kitchen counter.
No one will see you
Dance like you mean it.
But don’t be mean to me.
I want to see your body
In the sunlight
Just the outline.
I want to know what
Your lips look like in
The dark.

a little poem.

pianos sing me to sleep
far far away
where the ocean is all I hear
and the stars lead the way
im here lying under the peach tree
waiting for prayers and water.

Thursday

U.S.A.

Politics eat up the minds of our children,
While god separates the hate from white people.
The news was never real.
Your mind is always blind if you live in America.
