Thursday

Red door knobs.
Come home before I burn my soul.
I have laid my eyes to rest, aside my bed
My teeth float in a tall glass. I keep my nightmares in a
Jar for future ideas on HOW TO SAVE THE WORLD.
When my husband doesn’t come home, I know
What he has done. Before the fence, before the
Grass: lies a body full of sins.

Tuesday

  Poem 017.
She smells like the mountain air and dances with the wind.
She lets the birds do her hair and the trees hold her sins.
On top of the world I sit with my toes dipped in the sunrise.

Philosopher Matshona Dhliwayo wrote, “Busy hands achieve more than busy tongues.”
