poem in July
I need you when my heart is too h e a v y
when she feels blue like the deepest ocean
I need you when my eyes are too h e a v y
when they’re too tired to observe
I need you when my soul is too h e a v y
when she’s cracking in all places
in this silence
I will believe
I will cry
I will love
I will die
I will meet you,
again.
a poem for you, my love.
the stillness within each
waking flower.
as the head reaches
higher and higher
the stillness here,
speaks to me.
surprises can be mailed
dreams, they’re fading away
as the sun soaked sand
swallows our toes,
making love until the dawn
rises, before the flowers
open their eyes,
it’s a strange
kind of year,
but all I ask of you, is to
hold me:
…..tight
peculiar attempts
to wrap
thoughts
around minds
of children
who have died
