Dirt under my nails
Remember the time we left your scab on the
Back porch to dry? The time when ants invaded
The space we collected between the dirt and dust.
When the children with no eyes, are able to see.
Where do their parents go to die? When you
Empty out your house where do all your secrets
Go? Do they seep deep down into the wallpaper?
Where nobody goes, no one can see. What
Happens to the soul of this house once the paint
Chips and you don’t mow the lawn?

butterfly

When the butterfly dies, who takes the time
To clean their wings

When the butterfly dies, who takes the time
To bury their soul

When the butterfly dies, who takes the time
To let the others know

When we don’t have time/ when the rain freezes before it touches my mind/
Bring thee the men in white coats as for they have the key to my kind
A mind with color is a mind with thoughts/

Pocket poem 79.
Catch me before I fall
Before I fall into the velvet river
Before the snow caresses my nose
Catch me before the woods
Swallow my body whole
Catch me before my sorrows
Drown my soul
Into the winter abyss my
Mind simmers

Love as cold as ice.
Tear my heart into pieces, eat it with blueberries and rum
I just ask of you, take the music and give it to your son.
The amount of time spent on music, inside my mind’s brain is
The same amount of time the Earth has spun around me.
Don’t care for the phone numbers or the sunset photos etched
Into my mind, just keep the music and give it to someone
Who understands why the Wolf Moon shines brighter
And someone who can count in Spanish.

Tea time.
Remember when the weather ate the baby birds whole
And the ocean took us of all our sins.
The library held all our secret until we turned to dust,
Leaving only the petal of a rose for us to touch.
With the darkness seeping in and no one around to hear,
Keep only the grocery list inside your frail heart.
