Thursday

poem

Autumn leaves make the old man smile
As he glances at the cracks in the sidewalk
He remembers his father and his past.
The past is scary if you think about it too long
The past brings back bad memories.
The cracks on the sidewalks don’t end.
Like the sunrise on the north bend.
Flowers continue to grow unless you stop
Feeding them.
