Friday

Time Will Make Things… clear.

With blood on my hands, I stand still in a field
Still like leaves growing, still like lungs breathing.
I don’t know what I’ve done. I don’t know where I’ve been.
I ask myself, “Who’s blood is this and why?”
Before I start to cry, the clouds clear and I can see the Coyote Moon. As I stare to the stars I begin to remember.
Stars are just lights to remind us the earth is round.
We live where we eat and we eat where we sleep.
The blood is of my Father.

glistening words

Jump off my tongue, the words that I say
Maybe mean, but all holy and true.
When things are on my mind, you know.
          Between teeth and conversations
I can say: I care the least.
When you see my eyes turn red, you know the moon is full.

I like it when it’s cold.

While the seasons change, the sidewalk cries
When the leaves reach the grass, the ants all hide
The branches are a dead kind of grey and the sky
Reminds me of a cold bubble bath I took in May.
When nothing makes noise, when everything is still:
Winter brings us the joy of being alone.
Into the abode we go, to hide and huddle from the sky’s snow.
Kiss my nose to keep the cold away.

She.
She lets the ocean do her hair and the has the sun wake her up.
She smells the flowers before dawn and flies with the birds.
She allows the weather to choose her mood and the color of her hair.

tonight's viiiibe brought to you by hozier

And I shall watch the ferry-boats
And they'll get high
On a bluer ocean
Against tomorrow's sky
And I will never grow so old again
And I will walk and talk
In gardens all wet with rain

My nose is freezing.

Here we go
Here we are
Here we were
Birch tree hours
The lion devours
Sweet secrets off
Your honey lips

Cobble stone chapters
Children with no laughter
Eagerly awaiting the KING.
Here we were
Here we are
Here we go

You cant’ get away with murder
Tie your laces with the strings from my lonely heart
While the river rushes in, washing over our
Thursday Thoughts. When the skull hits the nail,
You know she will have brown eyes. Sweep up
The webs and the tears for your Mama will be
Here. Before we know it the moon  will tell time
And the sun will sing songs. When there is nothing
Else to do, just remember how to dance.

Simple.

Surrounded
Buried
Drowning
Guilt
Secrets
Lies
Alive
Dying
Dead

mortal moon ride

Peel back the layers of my eyes to see the world inside
Recollection of laughter sit aside the coleslaw
Toes scattered while the wood floor creaks
Grandmother is in the bath, full of blood
Dead.

The ship will arrive
ON TIME ON TIME
The kids will cry
ON TIME ON TIME
The flags will sway
ON TIME ON TIME
We are off
ON TIME ON TIME

Coffee bombs, butter earrings and midnight moths.

I remember my mother told me, to love all dead things
When the moon shines in, when the weather is just right
Our windows are dressed with cobwebs and our lights are
Pretty dim. The attic door is the color of our barn.
You know it’s time for bed, when the candles go out and
The music starts to play. And then you start to sway. Your
Mind goes to heaven while your body floats above the bed.
When I was little I wanted to be a flower, strong yet
Beautiful. I call the cracks in the walls house veins and
The ceiling fans dad. When the backyard pond turns
Yellow, grab the kayak and let’s paddle to the  WolfMoon.
Just to reminisce on the times we had before
we were born.

Thursday

coming soon.........

1 thirteen 3.
the sky seems like a good place to hide our dreams
the trees and their bees can hold my secrets.
i feel free when my toes touch the dirt and the sun
shines down on me.

ZOOOoooOoOoOom out and see the planet

Blue, like untucked.

Silly things like bubblegum keep us afloat.
Sometimes I want to break your nose.
Roses grow from your eyes and brain-
To bring the light and make it bright.
Dinners spent over candlelight are
The nights my human brain remembers.
The clock on the wall brings me back to
My grandmother’s living space. Cluttered
With dolls and knick knacks, the spiders
Find an easy place to call home. Cigarettes
Stick to the wallpaper like mice run in
The cornfields. When the mail arrives
Please dry the rice and bring the dog in.
Children from down the road gather
Around the backyard tree. Today will
Be the day they put, Richard to rest.
School is for the children and money is
For the poor. When honey comes from
Bees you know you have a gift.

LONG NAILS.

I could care less about your shoes
And more about your heart.
Close your eyes, open your mouth
And listen to what she says.
Wisdom sits upon the tongues
That laugh. Where flies have
Ears and children have beards.
Pour a beer for the pilot and i,
Tonight is going to be a long night.

Wednesday

How many times can you blink before the moon rises?

I cut my hair to forget about you
The smell reminded me of our Sunday Mornings
Trying to let go, like trying to drive straight.
The moon light comes in; I open the door to dance.
Where the light bugs sing and the moon hands out smiles,
My heart belongs inside of this child. Home is here, here is there.
The soul of a grown woman hides behind young eyes.

Tuesday

Between my toes.
I live where it rains
It rains where I live
The trees make sense
And my head is full of sins
Smoke in my eyes- help me
Catch that fly.
Want to join
me
for
supper
?

Don’t waste time
The ink from my heart,
Writes the love letters
I send to you every month.
Hear my rose tongue,
That wants to speak to
You. Heal the pain of
The unknown, with
The smell of fresh
Lemongrass and
Thoughts of yesterday’s
Rain. When it rains here,
It rains.

here we can sleep.
Deeper than the starfish
Hollow as a bird’s nest.
Lick my freckles and
Hold my hand. This
Place is scary, if  you
Let it in. The winter
Seems some kind of
Blue, as the years
Rush by. The radio
Sings, while my
Wine dances
With
Me.

The age of Saturn’s rings
Kiss my lips with whispers
Above the sky, angels cry
Spinning on its axis the
Earth smiles. As the ship
Begins, we start to sink.

EYE.
Bring my cities with the fleas
Bring my coffee with the ice
Mow her lawn past midnight.
I ONLY EAT RICE.

There is.
There is hope for us, which lives under the covers
On a rainy day, my room fills with love
For coffee, love for you, the stars bring the light.
When lakes become my body and your heart sinks to
The very bottom, take my hand and walk with me.
Make my love sea, believe again. Bring the clouds
With you, behind you the birds wait. The day will
Come before we kiss again. But always remember,
I loved you.

clouds

Where the sun doesn’t go, where the sun doesn’t know
The flowers grow in between.  The river flows, the water
Drowns out the thought of me thinking and us kissing
Under the cemetery tree. Where lines become roads
And roads are where we walk. The Earth is a great place
To shave your mind and drink tea

Oh( LOVE )Eight
I see where the moon goes to sleep
I can taste the stars upon my eyelids
Kiss the Milky Way from my mouth
And say you love me.
