Tuesday

Recycle Bin.

Scrape the dirt from under your nails
Wipe away the sad tears and show me your teeth.
This world is full of daises and lavender love.
We can sing to the children and we can dance in the rain.
Here the ladies love only men with two heads.
Their ears are longer than tree branches.
And here the cobble driveway seems to never end.
The Men play their trumpets while the peacocks march in,
The band is from Africa and the Queen just arrived.
The ants are screaming and no one can hear them.
Inside the mail box you shall find a skeleton key.
Which unlocks my dead grandfather’s heart.
