Friday

Shower your Love so the Flowers grow.

Let’s go back to the day you were reborn
Only to make silly decisions and get bored
With ourselves. Try to eat that peach without
Smiling at me. Your hair is as delicate as
A feather from a Black Crow. When we were
Little- fear didn’t exist and there was no rain.
School days would fly by, only to meet you
At the dinner table and act shy. My mother’s
Rose garden still cries in September and
She doesn’t know why. It always seemed
Sunnier on the other side, only to realize
You aren’t alive. Don’t be afraid of the sidewalks,
Fry your brain, with all the rain, love slips between
The cracks. The Sea will speak, so listen.
Only the nice ones make it out alive.
